Freestyle to the Max with Harry Mack

Whaddup My Maad Peeps, talent is talent, the art form is Freestyle, lyrics off the dome, Soca  call it Ex-Tempo, Dancehall calls it building a vibes but whatever name you give it, its a beauty to behold in its purest form. We found this rags to (almost) riches story. Meet Harry Mack  who up to last year only had 1,000 followers on his YouTube page and was a struggling artist freestyling on Venice Beach, California. Then as destiny would have it he first appeared on YouTube  in March this year  and created a buzz, especially in the Hip Hop community.  Check this out.......
Then he came back for more ...this man is badddd, or as our US brothers would say he niiiice

So based on the viral reponse to his 1st video he began to BLOW UP  making appearances on Ellen and LA'sPower 106. Then he moved from working for tips to being a star. You probably seen him on the new Mistubshi Commercial and didnt know his story. Harry Mack destined for MAAAD TINGS,

Thats what we call MAAAD Music

Hot Freestyle and Dancehall D.R is Mad Hot

WHADDUP MAD MUSIC FANS WORLDWIDE!

As we travel the Caribbean we are always on the look out for mad talent and music, so on a recent trip to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic or the D. R by yours truly I captured this freestyle session in  Plaza de Espana.

As a mega fan of hip hop I loved every minute but you don't need to understand the language to appreciate the delivery and energy with these young rappers. here is a small snippet ,,,,maaaad

D.R is never short of talent their hottest artist right now Nicky Jam has the mega hit "X". You must have heard this jam, try and catch the dance. As you can hear it is a dancehall and reggae song, featuring a synth trumpet hook and elements of reggaeton, pop and Afrobeat.

Rumour has it that Will Smith, Nicky Jam and Diplo are part of the team for the FIFA World Cup Official song, yes you heard it here first SHELL SHELL SHELL.....MAAAD

Best Definition of Freestyle Rap - Only for Hip Hop Heads

There is an art form in hip hop know as free styling , aka off the top of the dome, old school calypsoians know it as extempo (extemporaneous), new school kats in hip hop know it as the Free style it is basically impromptu lyricism over a beat, it requires a high degree of skill and an even higher level of intelligence to create rhymes and stories on the spot. It is even more impressive is when its done in an entertaining and engaging way. The difficulty level is increased when random words are thrown in to the mix...maaaad crazy.
This video of Sway in the Morning " 5 Fingers of Death" epitomizes the true definition of freestyle, this cat is in da zone, you cant help but bounce along to this one maaaaad.

A madder moment in music we dare you to find

NSFW- Strong language

The rapper is King Los or Los, born Carlos Coleman he has released various mixtapes during his career  and was signed to Diddy's Bad Boy records. ( a point he refers to in the freestyle).
XXL the hip hop industry  authority gave him a positive review by stating "As usual, Los’ strongest asset is an ability to deliver vivid imagery through lyrics and a captivating flow...Lyrically, Los is as sharp as ever" a review we maaaadly endorse.

My twin brother ..Wayne Brady shows he is a Freestyle Monster

Wayne Brady is known for his Improv skills but he recently was on the Sway Morning show a Hip Hop  on Shade45,  one of the most popular stations on Sirius radio, showing he has another dimension to his talent

Wayne Brady climb to fame started  on  the improvisational comedy television series Whose Line Is It Anyway?, and as the host of the daytime talk show The Wayne Brady Show. He was the original host of Fox's Don't Forget the Lyrics!, and currently hosts the 2009 revival of Let's Make a Deal.

Who knew Wayne could freestyle like that, off the dome, kudos to you man maaahd respect.

Small factoid, did you know Brady made a cameo in the 2011 song "Dedication to my Ex (miss that)" by Lloyd ft. Lil Wayne & Andre 3000, narrating Lil Wayne's section of the song

Seriously every time I travel to the US people always ask me "are you Wayne Brady" or "did anyone tell you if you look just like Wayne Brady", my usual response, "I get that a lot"

But obviously one of us has the better rapping skills.
