Banging Beats from Black Mozart

Another gem from our under the radar producer Ryan Leslie. Yes his videos are staged yet it is tastefully done to look almost like it was shot spontaneously. What we like about this one is the beats on this video they are BANGING

Check out Full Moon @ 1:23 then Lay Down @ 6:18

This guy is a musical genius, definitely a better singer than a rapper, his lyrics are fire though (although a bit materialistic)but his flow is too much on the same level don't get us wrong we are not about hate, we are all about the maaaad congratulate.

Plus he is a musical mogul no Itunes for this dude all his songs are available through his site, no middle man......maaad .

Harvard Graduate rocks the Music World

Hello to our new subscribers from Russia  and Ukraine, приветствовать and Відношення. respect.

We again bring to your attention  one of our favourite mad music producers yet to blow up like nitro, the multi talented Ryan Leslie. He has an interesting story,  very unlike the normal RnB (sorry Urban Contemporary) and hip hop artist. Ryan has the distinction of having attended  Harvard at age 15 and graduating at 19 and then chose to pursue a career in music, a career that so far has proved to be quite successful. Actually Ryan is much closer to the Caribbean than you are aware, so we will claim some of his talent from his Caribbean roots.

This guy is no joke he scored a 1600 in his SAT, a perfect score.

His parents are both Salvation Army officers, his mom a trained pianist of Caribbean descent and his father a trombonist from Barbados and the family lived in Trinidad for a while So he grew up in a strong  musical family. Lets first see a throw back of Ryan Leslie from 1994 when he was an aspiring 16 year old.

Then flash forward 19 years and Ryan Leslie is now  a star, we love his videos because it showcases his impressive production talents. forget the beginning and the end of this video which is just promo fluff, Ryan cruising in a Bentley, Ryan taking off his sweater, Ryan putting back on his sweater, Ryan jumping onto his G5 and other materialistic flossin.

Jus njoy the Mad Amazing music production on this and the AWESOME mad vocals of Jasmine Villegas
Trust us the creative process isn't like this, artists don't just walk into the studio and knock out a song in one take, it takes numerous takes over numerous hours but I suppose for the purposes of the video it looks impressive.

Nevertheless it is Maaad catchy this head noddin track......

Talent is just talent and it just cant be denied it is bound to fly and shine

We again feature a producer/ artist that continues to be one of our favourites that still is largely underestimated, his infectious and bobbing beats have been used for such artist as Cassie, Fabulous, Mary J Blige and  many others and still he is a dynamic artist in his own right.

Keyboardist, singer, drummer and musical genius watch the man create musical magic, as he builds and produces the current single"Fly Together" for Red Cafe.

Observe the various elements of the beat being constructed is interesting especially as not all of the instruments are featured in the final mix. this beat  is truly maaaad, this is the master talent that is Ryan Leslie

Did I say how maaad this beat is, some people even argue that an up coming rapper such as Red Cafe doesn't do this beat justice.

For what its worth I think the star of this song is the hook/chorus and the slow tempo guitar riff that drives the beat.

Here is the official video for the final song featuring a guest verse from Bawse, Rick Ross.

Props again to R Less or as he says Les is More or as we would say Less is Maaaaad

Mad Inspired Beats

Today's post is for the true music lovers it is a video which shows the production process and various layers and textures of music that make up a current Pop and RnB song, The video features a  not so well known,  under appreciated producer/singer/song writer/musician  Ryan Leslie as he composes "Addicted", it shows the inspiration behind some of his biggest hits, the videos show his obvious passion, unbridled energy and unmistakable mad talent. I dare you to watch all of the videos and not bob your head to the beat.

Here he is again making "Get Money", you can appreciate the talent on the creation of the rhythm, it is a banger. Just watch the first 2 1/2  min when he starts signing and rapping  it looses ( in my opinion some of its hit potential)

Finally, probably one of his biggest hits to date "Sometimes" for Cassie
