24 Hours of Happy, the longest, most expensive yet feel good video you willl see!!

That's right the world first and probably only 24 hour video, believe it, 24 hours, 1440 minutes of the same song being played over and over again. That's the concept behind uber, Grammy winning Producer Pharell Williams warm and fuzzy, hand clapping ditty "Happy", the song commissioned for the movie Despicable Me 2.

The movie studio probably bank rolled the truly exhaustively fun 24 hour videos, understand there is a video for  every hour in the 24 hour day so there is a 5 am video and a 8 pm video etc. each apparently shot to reflect that time of day. The videos all have the same format with Pharell singing the song for the first 3 minutes 43 seconds then various persons including celebrities singing  and dancing to the Happy tune for the remaining of the hour. Written and produced by Pharell,"Skateboard P" surely is showing why he is a maaad musical genius:

Here are a few of  our favourites:

5pm video, check Jamie Foxx and family cameo at 5:28pm

and the 12:00am video

for all those of you here watching Pharell debuted his Smokey Bear hat from back then...lol

You quickly get the idea, great concept (gets a little tiring after a while)

So if you are truly bored you can go to the  site  24hoursofhappy.com and spend a " whole day " watching the videos. We here at Mad Music like to save some time so we will direct you to some of the Maaaaad cool sections.

Odd Future (1:48pm), Steve Carell (5:08pm), JoJo (6:16pm), Kelly Osbourne (1:28am), Magic Johnson (5:36am), Sérgio Mendes (10:32am) and Jimmy Kimmel (11:48am). The minions from Despicable Me 2 are in various scenes including one scene at 3:00am where they dance with Pharell.

And then lets not  forget the Jamaican version that is going viral as it captures the happy go lucky concept of the original video while showcasing the truly indelible Jamaican vibe, energy and natural beauty.
